Trip to Philipsburg Manor – Pinkster Celebration

Trip to Philipsburg Manor – Pinkster Celebration

Save the Date – May 19, 2018

Join us on our tour to historic Philipsburg Manor, which has been meticulously restored by Historic Hudson Valley, to re-create a centuries old celebration of Pinkster.  Pinkster was a holiday originally celebrated by the Dutch before coming to New Amsterdam in the early 1600s.  During Pinkster the enslaved men and women of this plantation were also allowed to celebrate this holiday, and for centuries it was practiced by African Americans throughout New England.

Historic Hudson Valley invites visitors to experience this celebration and tour the grounds of the plantation on May 19, 2018.   Our bus will leave East Elmhurst at 10am and the ticket price includes lunch.  Early bird prices are before April 22nd.  Come travel with us and explore this beautifully preserved estate.  Seats are limited so reserve your spot early!!  Prices will go up after April 22nd.
